KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he will urge allies to boost Ukraine’s air defenses at a meeting this week in Germany, while both sides said Kyiv’s forces pressed new attacks Sunday in Russia’s Kursk region.
Russian shelling, meanwhile, killed at least one user and wounded in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, local officials said.

The Associated Press was not immediately able to verify the reports.
In other developments, local officials said one user had been killed and other Russian shelling in the city of Nikopol in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region. Downstream along the Dnieper River, at least six other people were injured when Russian troops shelled the city of Kherson, the capital of the Dnieper region. Colonies along the west bank of the river are under normal shelling of the Russian lowland on the opposite bank.
Nine other people were wounded in a Russian guided bomb crisis opposite the border town of Semenivka in Ukraine’s northern Chernihiv region on Saturday night, local officials announced.
Moscow sent 103 drones to Ukraine during the night on Sunday, Ukrainian officials said. According to the Ukraine Air Force, 61 drones were destroyed and 42 were lost, due to electronic interference.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that 61 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight Sunday in western Russia. No casualties were reported but Rostov regional Gov. Yuri Slyusar said residential buildings and cars were damaged by falling drone debris.
