The U. K. has overtaken Germany for the largest electric car market in Europe, as the country’s EV sales mandate has helped increase the slowdown in the call from other parts of the region.
Registration for new totally electric cars in Germany fell more than a quarter to 380,609 last year, according to the knowledge published on Monday through the KBA regulator. That is less than the 381,970 sold in the United Kingdom, where EV listings increased 21%.
