Trump dismisses John Bolton’s secret service amid Iranian death threats (former national security adviser)

Bolton has faced threats from Iran for years, an alleged plot to assassinate him in 2021, and the Justice Department later charged a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over the plot in 2022. Trump ousted Bolton from his first term in office. 2019, and Biden had granted him a security detail in 2021.  

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House regarding Bolton’s claim, but did not immediately receive a reply.

Iranian threats against Bolton were likely triggered by the January 2020 U. S. strike that killed Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Quds Force, the Justice Department reported in 2022.  

Bolton served as Trump’s national security advisor between 2018 and 2019, before Trump ousted him because they “disagreed strongly” on policy issues. 

BIDEN SAYS Trump has no “redeeming value” and intends to crush him as if he were an Iranian assassination threat.

“Last night I informed John Bolton that his are no longer needed in the White House,” Trump tweeted in 2019. “I strongly disagree with many of his suggestions, as do other members of the administration, and that is why I asked John to resign. , which was delivered to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. Next week, I will appoint a new national security adviser.

In the following years, Trump repeatedly has slammed Bolton, including claiming he would have sparked “World War Six,” and calling him “one of the dumbest people in Government” back in 2023.

Bolton also attacked Trump, in a 2020 interview saying Trump lacked “the competence to get the job done. ”

“I don’t think I have a match for that job,” Bolton said in 2020. “I don’t think I have the skills to do the job. There is no genuine guiding precept that I can discern, other than what is smart. ” for the re-election of Donald Trump.
