Holidays in the south of France are popular among sun-seeking Britons, but affordability isn’t at the top of their appeal.
The French Riviera is considered to be a very dear position for vacations, especially in popular tourist cities such as Cannes, Monaco and Saint-Tropez.
However, hidden in the Occitanie region is Narbonne. With a fraction of the number of tourists such as the Azur coast, the small colony has all the charm of the coastal hot points that are invaded through tourists.
According to Eurochange’s team of experts, Narbonne was one of the cheapest holiday destinations in 2024.

With its history, its very good architecture and its proximity to the Mediterranean coast, Narbonne gives a little dispersion without breaking the bank.

I admire the Los Angeles Robine channel, a Unesco World Heritage site and the impressive Narbonne cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.
The Abbaye de Fontfroide is the town’s top-rated attraction on Tripadvisor. The 1,000-year-old abbey is just 10 minutes outside of Narbonne and boasts extensive landscaped gardens, plus a restaurant serving lunch.

Narbonne Beach, a short distance from the city center, is a blue flag beach known for its transparent glass waters and comfortable sand.
As for whether to eat and drink, TripAdvisor recommends several rated restaurants.
In Bebelle, known for its undeniable menu and its intelligent food, it offers an exclusive culinary belt in the market room. The fillet tartar and homemade fries are highly recommended.
