NEWS. . . BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Vladimir Putin, a provocateur, walked out without a bulletproof vest, days after former President Donald Trump narrowly missed it.
This is the first time he has been noticed since Trump’s shooting, but also since his regime accused the United States of running to assassinate the Kremlin dictator.
Driving a Lada Aura – intended to boost sales of the Russian-made premium sedan – Putin opted for the short end of the stick when opening a new stretch of road in the Tver region.
Putin was surrounded by a total of seven security guards as he conducted the photo op on the M-11 highway from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
A security guard handed him his jacket as he was pulled out of the car; however, observers noted that there was no sign that Putin was dressed in a bulletproof vest, as he was once rumored to wear.
His appearance comes after Putin faced fresh calls to pause his foreign policy over the perceived risk of a Trump-style assassination attempt.
A senior Russian Foreign Ministry official, Maria Zakharova, accused Kiev of contributing to the assassination of Putin, 71.
This followed claims over the weekend through the head of Kyiv’s army intelligence firm, the GRU, that the unspecified attempt to assassinate Putin had failed.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov said: “There have been [assassination attempts], but, as you can see, they have so far failed. »
Zakharova stated: “One of the leaders of the kyiv regime, Budanov, brazenly admitted that Ukrainian intelligence was preparing attempts to kill the Russian president. “
Putin’s own spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, was forced to respond by saying: “All the threats of the Kiev regime are obvious. Therefore, the security of the first user [Putin] is guaranteed at the appropriate level. “
Sergei Markov, a staunchly pro-Kremlin military analyst, admitted: “Putin is the target. “And not only for the SBU [Security Service of Ukraine] and the [GRU], but also for the intelligence of the United States and Britain and dozens of intelligence in the world subordinate to them.
“That’s why I think Putin shouldn’t make any visits, not even to friendly countries. “
“Russia still doesn’t know how to respond. And so far, there is no response. And that only encourages the enemy to escalate. “
Putin did not address Trump’s shooting, but his spokesman attributed the shooting to the “atmosphere” of U. S. policy provoked by the Biden administration.
It was “obvious” that Donald Trump’s “life was in danger” after the shooting, he said.
“The environment surrounding candidate Trump . . . it has what the United States faces today,” he said.
