Odeon has announced plans to reopen cinemas in the UK and Ireland from 4 July.
The cinema chain will start with ten branches in England and another 88 are expected to reopen until 16 July.
Odeon has worked with the UK Film Association and the UK government to introduce advanced defence and fitness measures at any of the venues, adding limited seats for each show, staggered start times and average cleaning routines.
UK-IRE managing director Carol Welch said: “We are very pleased with the company that from the 4th of July our cinemas in the UK will start reopening.”
“We have thoroughly planned any of the steps of our guests’ adventure and have installed position security measures that would allow our highly qualified colleagues to produce a controlled and safer cinematic experience for all of our guests.
“The new measures come with social distance in our auditoriums and homes, additional cleaning schemes and an online ticket application prior to arrival.
“We would very much like to thank our colleagues and visitors for their patience this time, and we move forward to welcome visitors again for a widescreen entertainment and a safer cinematic experience.”
Starting June 25, consumers can return bok tickets to the Odeon for the giant screen.
You can have an integration of new and remastered classics after the reopening, adding 1917, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, reissued and remastered in 4k for its 40th anniversary, Sonic the Hedgehog and Onwards, Little Women, Bad Boys for Life, Dirty Dancing and the great showman.
