A new retirement home in Stoke-on-Trent has opened its doors. The official opening of Springfield Manor Care Home on Godwin Way, Trent Vale, has taken place.

Councilor Lyn Sharpe, Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, was on hand to cut the ribbon and officially open the doors to the state-of-the-art facility. As well as residential, nursing and dementia care, Springfield Manor will also offer care for complex needs.

The facilities include a cinema, a rooftop terrace, a lounge area and a bar called Duck.

Part of the Highgate Care group, the new home is “dedicated to offering high quality, compassionate care, tailored to the unique wishes of residents”.

The organization adds: “Our facilities are preferably located close to Royal Stoke University Hospital, ensuring it is easy for families and healthcare professionals.
