Filled with President Xi Jinping’s 2025 New Year Message

BEIJING — On New Year’s eve, President Xi Jinping delivered his 2025 New Year message through China Media Group and the internet. The following is the full text of the message:

Greetings to all! Time flies and the new year will be with us shortly. I explain my wishes in Beijing.

In 2024, we have together journeyed through the four seasons. Together, we have experienced winds and rains and seen rainbows. Those touching and unforgettable moments have been like still frames showing how extraordinary a year we have had.

We have responded proactively to the effects of conversion of internal and external environments. We have followed a complete diversity of policies to achieve forged profits in the search for progress. China’s economy has recovered and is on an ascending trajectory, with its GDP for this year the mark of the 130 billion yuan is exceeded. Cereal production has exceeded 700 million tons, and China’s bowls are now full of more Chinese cereals. Reinforced advances in new urbanization and rural revitalization have been achieved. Ecological progress and with low carbon emissions has improved even more. In fact, a more beautiful China is being deployed before us.

We have favored new quality forces in the light of genuine conditions. New sectors, bureaucracy and advertising models have continued. For the first time, China produced more than 10 million new cars in a year. Percées were carried out in incorporated circuit, synthetic intelligence, quantum communications and many other fields. Also for the first time, the Chang’e 6 lunar probe collected samples on the other side of the moon. Mengxiang drilling explored the mystery of the ocean depths. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan link now joins the two cities of the sea. The Qinling Antarctic Station is already active in the icy continent. All this embodies the great spirit and dreams of the Chinese people to explore stars and oceans.

This year, I visited many places throughout the country and I saw first hand how our other people enjoy a significant life. I saw the great red apples Huaniu in Tianshui, Gansu and the fishing boats in the Aojiao village, Fujian, loaded with their fishing. I saw the millenary “Oriental Smile” in the caves of the Maiji mountain and learned about the good neighborhood transmitted from generation to generation in the Liuchixiang alley. I enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the street of the ancient culture of Tianjin and I saw how other people in the combined residential communities of Yinchuan live in combination as a single family. I have people’s considerations about employment and income, the care of the elderly and children, schooling and medical facilities. This year the fundamental pension was higher and the rates of the loans went down. The direct payment of medical expenses between provinces has been expanded, which makes it easier for other people to seek medical attention throughout the country. And customer intelligence exchange systems have improved the lives of other people . . . All these benefits are genuine for our citizens.

In the Paris Olympics, Chinese athletes raced to the top and achieved their best performance in Olympic Games held overseas, fully demonstrating the vigor and confidence of young Chinese. The PLA Navy and Air Force celebrated their 75th birthdays, and our servicemen and women are full of drive. When floods, typhoons and other natural disasters struck, members of the Communist Party of China and officials stepped forward to lead disaster relief efforts, and our people were of one mind and reached out to each other. People in all fields — workers, builders and entrepreneurs, among others — are working hard to fulfill their dreams. I presented awards to recipients of national medals and honorary titles. The honor belongs to them; it also belongs to every hard-working person who has lived up to their responsibilities.

In a global that is converting and turbulent, China, as a culprit main country, actively promotes the reform of global governance and deepens solidarity and cooperation between the countries of the South. We are making a deeper and really wide progress in low quality cooperation. The belt and the road. The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa cooperation is a success. We have presented China’s vision in the Shanghai, BRICS, APEC, G20 and other bilateral and multilateral forums organization. We have made a significant contribution to the maintenance of peace and global stability.

We celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China. With deep affection, we have seen the replenishment of the sea that has taken its position in China since the birth of the People’s Republic. Nurtured through our more than 5,000 years of non-stop civilization, our country, China, is engraved not only on the back of the ancient bronze ritual wine vessel of Zun, but also in the hearts of all Chinese people. At its third plenary session, the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a Clarion call for deepening comprehensive reform. We will make wonderful progress to advance reform and opening-up as the trend of the times. Actually, we will adopt even broader perspectives in pursuing China’s modernization reform and opening-up.

In 2025, we will fully complete the 14th Five-Year Plan. We will implement more proactive and effective policies, pursue high-quality development as a top priority, promote greater self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and maintain sound momentum in economic and social development. The Chinese economy now faces some new conditions, including challenges of uncertainties in the external environment and pressure of transformation from old growth drivers into new ones. But we can prevail with our hard work. As always, we grow in the wind and rain, and we get stronger through hard times. We must be confident.

Of all the jobs we have ahead, the most important is to guarantee a happy life for our people. Each family expects their children to receive intelligent education, that their older parents can enjoy smart facilities for older people and that their young parents can have more opportunities and better opportunities. These undeniable wishes are the aspirations of our people of a better life. We will have to work together to improve social enterprises and governance, build a harmonious and inclusive environment and solve real or small problems, for our people. We have to bring more smiles to others and more heat in their hearts.

On the eve of the 25th anniversary of Macao’s return to the country, I visited the city and was satisfied to see new advances and changes. We will apply the policy of “one country, two systems” to achieve long -term prosperity and stability in Hong Kong and Macao. We, the Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, belong to a single family. No one can ever break the kinship ties that unite us, and no one can ever save the reunification of China, a trend of our times.

As changes unseen in a century accelerate across the world, it is important to rise above estrangement and conflict with a broad vision, and care for the future of humanity with great passion. China will work with all countries to promote friendship and cooperation, enhance mutual learning among different cultures, and build a community with a shared future for mankind. We must jointly create a better future for the world.

Dreams and desires would possibly be a long way off, however, they can be fulfilled through the pursuit of our minds. In the new adventure of Chinese modernization, each and every one is a key player, each and every effort counts, and each and every one and each and every one and each and every one. Every ray of gentle shines.

Splendor beautifies our homeland and starlight beautifies each and every home. Let’s greet the new year with hope. May our wonderful country enjoy harmony and prosperity! May all your dreams come true! May you all have a new year of happiness and peace!
