Drive-in cinema screenings are coming to this Derby suburb

Drive-in cinema screenings including showings of Joker and Mamma Mia are coming to a Derby suburb this summer.

Drive In Films will be bringing a series of flicks to the Mickleover FC ground in Station Road, Mickleover.

Classic summer movie Grease is also among the films being shown over July and August.

In order to limit the risk of infection, there will be a number of safety measures in place for people attending the events.

Visitors are asked to stay inside their cars for the duration of the film, except to use the toilets.

There will be three blocks of toilets on site and guests will be limited to two people inside each block at any one time.

There have been six showings announced so far and four more will be revealed soon.

People attending the showings will be able to buy refreshments on site which can be ordered and brought to people’s cars.
