The US president elected by President Donald Trump said Friday that he had a productive verbal exchange with Chinese prime minister Xi Jinping, covering a critical issue, adding trade, fentanyl and social media platform of Tiktok.
Taking its social media platform, Trump described the call as very constructive, expressing hope of positive results. “The very intelligent call for China and the United States. I hope we are solving many disorders together, and starting immediately. We have discussed trade, fentanil, Tiktok and Tiktok and Tiktok many other issues,” he wrote.
Trump further emphasised the importance of collaboration between the two nations, stating, “President Xi and I will do everything possible to make the World more peaceful and safe!”
Earlier, Chinese media outlet Xinhua showed that the two leaders spoke on the phone but revealed the main express points of their discussion.
The exchange follows the previous comments of Trump on January 6, where he pointed out the continuous communication with the representatives of XI and expressed optimism about the strengthening of their bilateral relationship.
Early in the day, China announced that Jinping will not attend the inauguration of Donald Trump, who takes a position on January 20 in Washington, but appointed Vice President Han Zheng as a special representative.
“We are in a position to paint with the new U. S. government for discussion and communication, manage differences, expand mutually favorable cooperation,” pursues stable, healthy and lasting Sino-American dating and locates the right way for either country to agree with the other,” Chinese Foreign Affairs said in an official statement.
