Jul.27 — Chinese authorities entered the main gate of the U.S. consulate in southwestern city of Chengdu Monday morning, China’s foreign ministry says in a statement. Meanwhile, U.S. officials said Friday they have custody of a Chinese researcher who had taken shelter at the country’s consulate in San Francisco after she was charged with trying to hide her military background.
