BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood has said she is “really disappointed” by the controversy surrounding Strictly Come Dancing.
Professional dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima have been banned from the show following allegations of misconduct in rehearsals.
A judicial investigation is underway lately following Amanda Abbinton’s allegations that Giovanni intimidated and humiliated her during training, claims he has strongly denied. After being shown as one of the professionals who would sign up for the series for its special anniversary series, Graziano was also honored. .
The dancer later admitted to kicking his dance partner Zara McDermott, but denies spitting on her. Now, after being asked about the ongoing saga, Carol, 62, who appeared on screen in 2015, has spoken out about her opinion.
The meteorologist shared, “Yes [I’m surprised], I’m also very disappointed, they’re doing the right thing by investigating all those allegations. ” Carol said that she “loved” her time on the show with her “lovely” dance husband Pasha Kovalev, and that she didn’t hear or hear any complaints from her fellow hopefuls at the time.

Then, the presenter admitted that since her series she no longer sees the screen religiously.
“I know too much and I know what they’re going through with their nerves,” he said of his motives.
“When you go down the stairs when the show opens, you’re waiting for the stairs to go by, it’s stressful.
“You’re looking for the nearest chimney exit to get out of there because you’re nervous, so I haven’t looked at it in a long time. “

Before this year’s series hits screens, a representative for the show indicated that celebrity contestants will have chaperones at all extended rehearsals to supervise teaching.
Addressing the change, Carol said it is “really good” that the BBC is listening and “reviewing” the research.
On the podcast Off Air. . . with Jane and Fi, she added about her experience: “I enjoyed it, I found that Saturday night is surely stressful, but the experience, especially the education with PashaArray, is my favourite moment.
“He was so patient, so kind, that I would say, ‘I can’t do this,’ and he would say, ‘You can do it tomorrow. ‘”
“He was lovely to me, so I probably have no complaints. I never will and I don’t regret doing it. “
So far, seven celebrities have been shown for the upcoming series.
