The Canadian company Bluesound has added 3 new models to its NODE line of wireless music transmitters. The 3 new models are NODE NANO, NODE and NODE ICON. All 3 transmitters have redesigned hardware and new audio features.
The NODE ICON flagship transmitter has a slim and compact style, while the NODE NANO is the ideal entry-level transmitter with the essential elements needed to turn an existing audio formula into a virtual streaming hub. Finally, NODE is a remastering of the brand’s original high-quality wireless transmitter. High-resolution music streamer and includes a new ESS SABER DAC for ultra-clean processing and improved performance.
The flagship NODE ICON is Bluesound’s new reference model for wireless music streaming and features a five-inch color display as a dual mono DAC that combines two DACs ESS sabre.
The NODE NANO will be available worldwide starting August 20, while the NODE can be pre-ordered and is expected to ship until September 24. The NODE ICON will begin shipping on November 15.
“Since its launch in 2013, NODE has been our most popular and beloved product, with more and more consumers opting for it over any other high-resolution music streamer. Today is the next bankruptcy of our project to bring high-fidelity sound to life,” said Matt Simmonds, Bluesound’s Chief Product Officer.
“By creating a family circle of NODE streamers, we can reach more music listeners with high-resolution streaming, offering a great access point for consumers and a complex, complicated option for those who are serious about their audio. “
The new NODE family is a flexible variety of wireless music transmitters that feature an ultra-transparent signal track with a circuit design that uses power and isolation to prevent unwanted noise and distortion. Bluesound claims to have gone above and beyond popular industry practices and meticulously modified each and every component to deliver maximum audio true to the source, from input to output.
The NODE diversity can stream music in the highest quality from popular music streaming facilities such as Amazon Music, Tidal, and Spotify. Apple AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth are also incorporated to stream music directly from smartphones. The NODE and NODE ICON now also play high-resolution DSD.
The NODE and NODE ICON models use THX AAA generation headphones with linear response. Patented early error correction delivers audio with very little noise and distortion. NODE and NODE ICON feature full-size 1/4″ headphone jacks, while NODE ICON features left and right connectors for optimal cable management.
The NODE NANO has two presets on its front panel, but it’s an undeniable design.
NODE and NODE ICON are able to use Dirac Live Room Correction, an update that can be obtained directly from Dirac by purchasing a license. With the Dirac app and room correction technology, users can measure the acoustics of their listening room and its condition. waves and reverbs, as well as other unwanted distortions. A calibration kit with a high-sensitivity microphone is also required and can be purchased as an additional purchase by Bluesound.
All NODE wireless music streamers can connect wirelessly to Bluesound speakers and other stereo parts to create a BluOS-connected multi-room music system. Supports the latest generation of dual-band Wi-Fi included, allowing you to stream your favorite music and playlists to everyone. and each room in the space without cuts or interruptions.
Designed to fit stereo parts or an AV rack, the NODE line supports popular Wise House systems adding Control4, Crestron ELAN, RTI and more. NODE and NODE ICON feature a full set of digital/analog inputs and outputs, adding RCA, coaxial, optical, HDMI eARC and USB. The NODE NANO only has digital/analog outputs.
He built an ESS SABRE DAC with Hyperstream IV generation capable of handling audio files with a resolution of up to 24 bits/192 kHz. The device can be connected to existing stereo or audio systems. The compact and modern design has been designed for compatibility virtually anywhere. Quality analog and virtual outputs for RCA, coaxial, optical, and USB are included.
NODE NANO works through BluOS and natively supports streaming popular music, adding Amazon Music, Pandora, Qobuz, SiriusXM, Tidal, and others. It also features Apple AirPlay 2, aptX Adaptive Bluetooth, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. There is a fundamental set of digital/analog outputs to connect to existing audio via RCA, Coaxial, Optical, and USB. The front panel is backlit and gives access to some programmable presets.
The NODE has been redesigned through Bluesound with new DACs and circuitry.
The Bluesound NODE is a high-performance music transmitter that has been redesigned with new parts and circuitry for improved performance. The NODE now has an ES9039Q2M ESS SABER DAC, a built-in THX AAA headphone amplifier, aptX adaptive Bluetooth support, and DSD. The new NODE can be connected to a stereo amplifier or a pair of powered speakers.
The ESS SABERE DAC ES9039Q2M offers a significant improvement in functionality over previous generations of NODE. The DAC and signal trace have been designed to reduce jitter and interference. The NODE is supplied with digital/analogue inputs and outputs and can be connected to an HDMI eARC TV or games console. The NODE also has built-in IR learning for the universal remote, as well as a proximity-sensing touchscreen with five programmable source presets.
The NODE ICON has a five-inch display for album art.
The NODE ICON is the flagship wireless music transmitter and is designed for the most difficult audiophiles. Bluesound claims that it is designed to set a new benchmark in the category. There is a dual-mono DAC design that uses two ESS SABER DACs. The chassis is made of an aluminum chassis and has a 5-inch color display. The NODE ICON also has all digital/analog inputs and outputs, adding balanced HDMI eARC and XLR outputs for high-quality connectivity.
Made with carefully selected components, NODE ICON features a low-noise power source to deliver greater dynamic range, ultra-low distortion, and the highest possible solution. DAC functionality is an enhanced technology from MQA Labs, QRONO d2a, which corrects any sync errors in the digital-to-analog conversion procedure and realigns the sync reaction with the original recording.
The flagship NODE ICON has balanced inputs and outputs for connection to high-end audio systems.
