Arwady: We plan 2 years for the COVID reaction in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) – If you think a COVID-1nine vaccine was months away and, after all, you should dress up in logical face masks, think again.

The coronavirus may be with us for some time, according to Dr. Allison Arwady, commissioner of Chicapass’s Department of Public Health. She said she was happy through the paintings that passed on vaccine trials, but that there was a long way to go between finishing a vaccine, making linked paintings and then taking it to millions of people.

“It’s really going to take over a year,” Arwady said. He added that if a vaccine is available, there may be an order from who receives it first.

“This will be prioritized. You may have to rely on health care professionals who depend on how the trials are conducted. There may be maximum probable prioritization of older adults who, in fact, we know, had the highest risk.” Arwady said. “You probably shouldn’t have young children from the beginning. Additional trials may be performed for pregnant women. It can be a process, even after receiving a vaccine.”

It stated that the political measures opposed to COVID-1nine did not disappear.

“We’re going to have to protect other protectors. So the mask is with us,” Arwady said. And that the city is preparing COVID-1 nine projects in the future.

“If COVID were to be terminated in a month or two, it would be an undeniable decision. Of course, we could all be crouched and waiting two months, but that’s never the case. At the Department of Health, we are making two- to three-year plans to give the concept some kind of reaction to COVID and all this time,” Arwady said. “Vaccines are minimal, they’re probably 100% protective. And even assuming that other Americans are increasingly vaccinated, there will probably be other Americans who won’t get vaccinated.”

For the seventh day in a row, Illinois reported more than 1,000 new COVID-19 times, amid a minimum of three weeks of virus testing. The Illinois Department of Public Health announced on Tuesday 1076 new times shown of coronavirus, adding 30 additional deaths shown.

“I wish I could say that COVID would be finished soon, but that’s never the case,” Arwady said. “And we’re doing everything we can to help other Americans who are more risk-consistent, don’t have an uncontrollable epidemic, let’s be more open, and offer more opportunities for the things everyone enjoys here in Chicago.”
