CMU College of Fine Arts and Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy will jointly offer the Master in Arts Management (MAM) and the Master in Entertainment Industry Management (MEIM) to create analytical and business leaders in the fields of the fields of the Visual arts, performing arts, cinema, TV and interactive media. Through courses and experiential learning opportunities of the real world with industry leaders, these two -year master’s mastery systems face how artistic industries are transforming into a virtual world.

The Master’s Program in Arts Management (MAM) focuses on the intersection of people, policies and generations with an artistic orientation. The quantitative control and analysis courses exercise academics to navigate in the changing economy of the 21st century arts, offering them a set of skills that artistic organizations want and seek enthusiastically. MAM is the ideal solution for academics looking for careers in the arts sector in museums, galleries, functional rooms, foundations and non -profit organizations. Our students are managers, marketing specialists, fund collectors, analysts, defenders and leaders of artistic organizations of all sizes.

With the Master’s Program in Entertainment Industry Management (Meim) of two cities, academics spend their first year in Pittsburgh and their second year in the industry in Los Angeles. In addition, academics participate in cohort trips to film festivals, such as Sunday, SXSW and Cannes. By offering greater quantitative control and strategic skills than a more applicable cinema and entertainment courses and reports, Meim prepares graduates to have an impact on development, marketing, production, distribution and strategy in all degrees in a world entertainment market.
