Look Dine-In Cinemas took over the ShowPlace ICON theater at Boro in Tysons, Virginia, which reopened on Friday, days after ShowPlace ICON closed over the weekend.
This is Look Dine-In Cinemas’ second theater in Virginia. The Dallas-based company took over the former Bow Tie Cinemas in Reston Town Center last year.
Boro’s ShowPlace Icon opened 4 years ago and still operates theaters in Chicago, Minneapolis, San Jose, and Mountain View, California.
The 72,000-square-foot Tysons Theater has 14 screens and approximately 1,800 seats, with auditorium seating ranging from forty-five to 226 seats. They come with heated reclining seats and adjustable headrests. All screens have projection and sound.
Look is adding more purpose to auditoriums, adding Q&A sessions, film festivals, events like UFC, football and boxing, concerts and debates. Develop systems for personal occasions and corporate meetings.
Like other Look Dine-In theaters, Tysons’ menu is presented as a gourmet meal. It will come with a mobile app that will allow consumers to order menus and craft beverage options that will be delivered to their seats in the theater.
Look operates 14 screens in Texas, California, Florida, Arizona, Georgia and New York.
